Cleaning instructions

Microfibres® velour is the ideal fabric for any interior. One of the greatest attributes is its unsurpassed cleanability. Our pile products are easy to care, just follow these simple steps.

• Most water and oil based spills will bead up on the surface for easy cleaning.
• Use a paper towel, absorbent tissue or cotton to blot the liquid.
• Stains like coffee, tea, chocolate, ketchup and even the feared red wine can be removed with most commercially available water-based cleaners or with water and a mild neutral soap.
• Stains like ballpoint pen, grease, lipstick may be cleaned with a solution of 10 % alcohol and water.
• Gently rub the stain in a small circular motion with a sponge or a very soft brush.
• Pat dry the area with a towel and brush the pile in the direction of the nap with a soft brush to restore the pile. Light creases may be removed by light steaming.
• This upholstery fabric is washable. Washing will not affect pile resistance or its flame retardment.
• Use mild neutral soap with a maximum temperature of 40°C. Do not use bleach.
• Do not wring or squeeze. Tumble dry at low heat or dry away from direct sunlight.
• After drying remove any creases by iron on the back at a maximum of 100°C.
• Based on the damaging effect of strong alcohol and other solvents on pile resistance and flame retardancy, it would be risky to dry clean. In general we discourage strongly using the above mentioned liquids.
• In order to prolong the life of this soft luxurious velvet, we recommend rotation of the cushions occasionally along with dusting, using a soft brush vacuum cleaner.
